Registering with StockX is a two-part process. First, you create a user account, then connect that user account to a farm business account. You can either create a new business account or connect to an existing one. The user account is about you as an individual, while the business account is about the business you own or represent.
NOTE: Trading on StockX is only open to people living in New Zealand with a New Zealand business, that is registered for GST.
Creating your user account
This is where we ask for the usual personal information: email, name, username, password. We also ask for your date of birth so that we can confirm your identity and make sure you’re over 18.
Once you fill out this information, you’ll get a confirmation email. You know the drill: simply click the “confirm email address” button to confirm your user account.
If you don’t receive this confirmation email, check your junk mail first. If you can’t find it in your junk mail, give us a call on 0508 STOCKX or send us an email.
Creating a farm business account
Once you’ve confirmed your user account, you can create a farm business account. This should take no more than five minutes.
To create a farm business account, you’ll need to enter:
A picture of your photo ID
Some information about the farm business:
Legal and trading name
Physical and postal address
Bank account number
When you provide this information, we’ll give it a once-over to make sure it’s correct. We are usually done doing this by the end of the day – or during the next business day.
If you’d like to get set up faster than that, you can give us a call on 0508 STOCKX.
This is the information you must have – but you can also add optional information that helps you market your auction listings to potential buyers. For example, you can add your farm’s logo and your business URL. The more of this information you include, the better!
Connecting to an existing business account
StockX users with Owner or Business Admin permissions can add new users to their account. To connect to an existing business, contact the Owner or Business Admin in your business, and ask them to add you to the account. They will invite you from inside StockX, and you will get an email. Simple.
